London Bridge station is five minutes’ walk, and from there the whole city opens up. But you don’t actually need the tube that often. Borough Market is practically on your doorstep, the Shard towers above you, and the South Bank river walk stretches in both directions. Southwark Cathedral sits quietly nearby, and there’s a strong mix of independent food spots and everyday shops along the surrounding streets. King’s College (Guy’s campus) is so close you could roll out of bed and make a lecture. LSE and London South Bank University are also a short commute.
